A jidaigeki movie about the strange fate of Ranmaru Mori.

During Japan's Warring States period three young Tokugawa vassals head their separate ways after Takeda Shingen's forces overran their castle. When they next meet they have all joined opposing sides.

The main character was a standout high school student and graduated university at the highest level. When he reached his 30-s he has found himself a failure: his wife left him for a successful boxer, he got fired from a misearable job, and a morgage that he had to keep up paying off for years ahead. At the most desperate moment the character finds out that that his cunning classmate (Danila Kozlovsky) has become a prosperous businessman and announced a competition for high school students with the prize fund of over a million or rubbles. The main character looks a lot younger than he is, he even gets asked if he is of age when buying alcholol. He gets rid of his beard, fakes his DOB in ID and decides to take a chance in the competition assured that expirience can take over youth.

Momotaro and Hidemaro are 1st-years at Otokojuku, a private boys school where true men are made. Momotaro, proficient in academics and martial arts becomes good friends with Hidemaro an underachieving weakling. Omito Date, former student leader, plans his revenge against his former school. Many years later Bunshiro and Fuku meet again to reminisce about their lives, and the love that remains smoldering in their hearts.
